Global Warming: Is it a Real Threat to our Biosphere?

Global Warming: Is it a Real Threat?

Climate change, free with severe weather, flooding, loss of biodiversity and more! All that is asked of you is to continue burning fossil fuels, emitting harmful toxins in the air and keep contributing to climate change and the wonderful perks will come your way!
The world today isn't like a bad TV advertisement, therefore we shouldn't act like it is. Globally, Earth is almost turning into a ball of fire each and everyday. Climate change is a real concern and if we continue our patterns like we have been, we will start seeing biodiversity loss, flooding, severe weather changes, extreme increase of temperature, etc.

Globally, temperatures have risen in what seems like a small amount; 2°C. With our busy everyday lives, we don't think of this change often, but the problems are being increased while we worry about our personal activities. The rising 2 degrees adds to the albedo effect, resulting in a positive feedback loop. The loop begins with increasing temperatures, which leads into less snow and ice, meaning more sunlight is absorbed by the sea and land and the loop repeats itself. As long as let this chain reaction continue, the longer the process is going to repeat.

Although these changes affect our environment, they also affect our everyday lives. With increased global temperatures, the heat will contribute to some health risks, along with increased bills (electricity, hydro etc.), and fossil fuels will become more sparse as we continue burning them. The toxins in the air will cause health problems and trap heat as well. All of these factors will contribute to not only our Earth but to our living conditions.
